In his New York Times bestseller Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less, author Greg McKeown describes a modern epidemic of overcommitment. We’re all spreading ourselves too thin. We say “yes” to every meeting and try to become experts in every specialty of our field. Predictably, many of us fail to excel at any one thing.

While I do not own a minivan, and likely never will, the author of an article I recently read makes a great point. Marketing is changing dramatically as more Millennial become parents. The author cites a local dealer's Chrysler Pacifica advertisement as a prime example of using humor to sell cars to both moms and dads.
